Why do celebrities offend half their fans?

News headline the other day: "Jimmy Buffett and Paul McCartney join Hillary Clinton for star-studded fundraiser."

Ugh, they cozy up to the most corrupt public figure since Al Capone? It looks like I won't be listening to Jimmy Buffett music anymore. Or the Beatles, for that matter. (OK, you're right, I can't give up the Beatles, but "Wings" is definitely out!)
