I am grateful that during the Last
Supper, the Lord instituted the Eucharist, which we celebrate and commemorate
this evening. What a great gift—the body and blood, soul and divinity of
Christ—truly present for us some 20 centuries later. It is, as the Catechism
explains, “the Source and Summit of the Christian life.” A blessed Triduum to
all! (Ha! I just tossed out a fancy word, and now you’ll have to do a Google
search, or else it will bother you for the rest of the day!)
